What it means

A healthy height fits a range of weights. At a given height, your BMI goes up as your weight goes up. The weights in your answer are the ones that give a BMI of 18.5 to 24.9.

We don't round BMI up. We show BMI to one decimal place and drop the rest instead of rounding. So 24.96 shows as 24.9 and still counts as a healthy weight.

How BMI works

  1. Measure your height without shoes, and weigh yourself in the morning.
  2. BMI from pounds and inches is your weight divided by your height squared, times 703.
